Iyengar yoga is not your typical kind of yoga - the emphasis is on detail, sequence, precision, and alignment of body parts. It's named after the founder, BKS Iyengar. This style of yoga sometimes makes use of props, such as rope, belts, blankets, and blocks to help hold the asanas.
It is accessible for everybody - regardless of age or physical ability. Unlike other yogas, Iyengar yoga's style makes it easier for people who may suffer from injury or stiffness to practice this type of yoga. The class is intended for people of all levels. Beginners will start from the basics while experienced Iyengar yogis will try more complex yoga poses.
At this class, students will also be exposed to Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
The class is a private 1-on-1 session. In this 4 hours class (1 hour x 4 sessions), you will learn:
- the basic postures
- breathing exercises
- the underlying philosophy of yoga

Kavita Pillay is a passionate and highly skilled teacher, dedicated to uplifting her students. She is a certified yoga trainer who is specialized in traditional hatha yoga, vinyasa, yin yoga, therapeutic yoga, Pranayama, Nidra healing sessions, and meditation.
