Hand Building is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools.
This 2-hour class will introduce the basic hand-building techniques used to build functional pottery forms and will focus on slab building techniques using bisque molds and stamps. During the session, you will be able to cover the following:
- The Basics of Pottery Hand Building
- The Slab Technique
- How to make a cup, mug, or incense oil holder
By the end of the session, you will be able to complete one of the above products.

- Students have the option of taking home their creations for use as a ceramic product. A fee of AED 50 will be applicable for firing and glazing each piece. Students can collect the projects 2 weeks after completion of all sessions due to the time required for drying.
