Silk painting is a 2000-years old traditional art from Asia that you can turn into a useful hobby allowing you to add a colorful touch to your silk scarves which you can either wear or frame them as wall paintings.
This art involves an exciting array of watercolor techniques, using gutta as a resist, which means that you can achieve fancy patterns quite effortlessly. Whether you are a beginner or experienced artist, this private, online class is suitable for all. Projects will be selected based on your current skill level and can range from learning the basics (1 class) to more challenging artworks and techniques (3 classes), allowing you to create special effects and flowing designs.
By the end of the first class, you will complete 1 simple piece. And in 3 workshops, you will be able to complete 1-2 more advanced pieces.
About Luna:
Luna is a Vietnam born artist who has demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent since her childhood. She is skilled with many different canvases; be it paper, wood, using Acrylic or Oil paint. However, her specialty is colorful silk paintings for which she has developed her own technique by designing mesmerizing silk art and combining it with a unique style of hand embroidery.
