In this course, students will learn the various techniques of working with ceramic clay, as well as how to form a simple figure, which includes basic anatomy, proportions, costumes, and hair. The course consists of step-by-step projects suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students.
After the sculpture is built, finishing techniques, such as glazing and painting, will be discussed. Along with figurative sculpture, the course will cover abstract sculpture and the creation of various ornaments and decorations. The course aims to give students knowledge of ceramic clay sculptures and the opportunity to be expressive and creative.
Materials:
- Students may purchase materials from directly from the center for an additional cost of approximately AED 336 (inc. VAT). The material kit includes:
- Sculpting tools
- Bag of clay (12.5 kg) - Students should bring their own aprons if needed
