Tickle your imagination in a fun fantasy experience with this creative art course!
In these 3-hour lessons, experienced artist, architect and designer Rita Nicolas will share both her expertise and creative techniques in a fun and enjoyable environment. All lessons can be tailored to your skill level and learning goals, with no experience necessary. tickle your imagination. Methods used range from basic pencil drawings, going through concepts and practice of color mixing and painting, all the way to computer demonstrated proofs.
Lessons are structured to combine both theoretical and realistic approaches to the classic basic principles of art, and can be taught in English, Arabic or French. You can choose between 6 sessions and 12 sessions as per your learning requirements. Ask Rita what you want to learn and she'll do her best to customize your sessions to help you achieve your goals!
Course Outline:
- Lesson 1: Basics of Drawing & Painting
- Creative use of Pencils & Shading Techniques
- Lesson 2: Grid Technique
- Drawing basic shapes - Triangle, Rectangle etc.
- Lesson 3: Identifying Basic Shapes
- Understanding Positive & Negative Space
- Lesson 4: Linear Perspective by 1 Vanish Point
- Lesson 5: Colors with Acrylic Paintings
- Lesson 6: Overview of Painting Techniques & Styles
- Photorealism
- Abstraction
- Lesson 7: Colors with Oil Pastels
- Students will select a particular topic (e.g. fish , flower, house) to color
- Lesson 8: Fruit Drawing & Painting
- The universal and recognizable subject of fruit for artwork. Realistic drawings and paintings of apples, bananas, etc.
- Lesson 9: Step-by-Step Drawing & Painting Butterfly
- Lesson 10: Portraying Faces
- Drawing Faces in different positions with soft pastel colors
Materials:
- Students must bring their own A3 Sketchbook or purchase directly from the instructor for an additional fee of AED 189 (including VAT). Alternatively, they can purchase a lesser amount of paper for an additional fee of AED 35. Prices are inclusive of VAT inclusive
- All other materials will be provided for use during the class sessions
