- Understand what MEP drawings are
- Role in interior design projects
- Coordination importance
- Types of MEP Drawings (HVAC, lighting, power, plumbing, firefighting)
- Schematic Vs layout drawings
- MEP symbols and standards
- HVAC layout drawing (understand components, supply and return, ducts, diffusers)
- Coordination tips with ceiling and beams
- CAD layers, line types and color coding
WEEK 2 :
LESSON 2: Electrical and plumbing layout drawing
- Understand and draw a basic lighting and power layout
- Plumbing symbols for floor drains, clean out and water supply
- Create a simple plumbing layout
- Understand coordination between services
- Activity:
- Prepare an MEP sheet for:
- Electrical layout: Lighting layout, power layout
- Plumbing Layout for bathroom: (water supply for hot and cold, drainage slope, vent pipes)
- HVAC Layout
- Legend sheet
- Title block formatted drawing
Materials:
Participants should bring a laptop with 8GB RAM & wheel mouse.
