First and only Drone training institution in the UAE to receive official recognition by the General Authority of Civil Aviation as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) in December 2020 to provide Drone pilots training services for operators of drones, and to issue accredited drone pilot certificates for trainees from the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

Steps for Applying:

After booking, a class coordinator will contact you, and you need to submit the required documents:

• Emirates ID or Passport Copy
• Recent passport-sized photograph
• Completed SSD form (provided upon request).

Await GCAA Approval:

• Applications are sent to the GCAA for approval, which can take up to 3weeks (more or less, depending on the GCAA’s ITA team’s background checks).

Complete Training:

• Once approved, theoretical materials will be shared, followed by scheduling practical training and examination.

Certification:

• Upon successful completion, a GCAA-certified Hobbyist Drone Pilot Certificate will be issued.

Inclusions:

1. Theoretical and practical training.

2. Theoretical and practical examination.

3. Provide drones.

4. Provide a snack at breaks and lunch with cold and hot drinks.

5. Training conducted under the supervision of professional trainers approved by the State Civil Aviation Authority.

6. The issuing of a drone certificate approved by the GCAA.

The course contents

The courses include basic knowledge and skills on drone technology and ways of operating and using them. The trainees will also be able to observe UAE regulations during the process. Upon completion of the training, the trainees will be able to obtain the following:

• Regulations and requirements of the UAE Civil Aviation Authority.

• Basic principles of flying using a drone.

• Introduction to the multi-rotor drone.

• Read flying zone maps.

• Maintenance of drone equipment.

• Identifying and dealing with emergencies Plan operations.

• Practical Drone Flying Duration of the course

This course extends for 21 hours and is divided into 3 main parts, where the first part includes theoretical lectures the second part includes training in the simulation system and the third and last part on practical training in the field in how to fly and use drones. The course is taught in Arabic and English according to the trainee's desire. Usually, the trainee accomplishes the theoretical part on his own through lectures sent to him after completing the registration process, and the trainee reads them alone and according to his time, and he can communicate with the company's staff to explain some lectures, whether in Arabic or English. As for the exams, simulation training, and practical training, they are usually carried out at the company's headquarters in Fujairah through the presence of trainees in person. These days are scheduled in agreement with the trainees. The required time needed in company facilities is one (1) day with a minimum of 5 hours per day. It can also per conducted during weekdays or weekends Saturday and Sunday if needed.
