Start your kid's musical journey by playing the saxophone, a popular instrument in jazz music and classical performances!
In this 1-hour, private class, your kids will learn how to play the saxophone regardless of their skill level. A professional saxophonist will introduce them to the techniques required to master the saxophone and will customize the sessions to meet their desired goals.
For beginners, they'll learn how to establish a good embouchure (placement of the mouth on the mouthpiece), body posture, hand position and a basic understanding of the saxophone. They'll also learn all twelve major scales.
After mastering the major scales, a greater emphasis will be put on learning how to read music, and study material will be introduced. The instructor will also encourage students to do independent research on the history of the saxophone and the most celebrated and influential saxophonists.
Intermediate and advanced students will learn more advanced techniques and improve their existing skills such as the development of a mature saxophone, learning how to improvise, preparing for a solo classical performance, development of intuition for rhythm and melody, learning and memorizing jazz standards, composing music and leading an ensemble.
