In this 6-hour class (3 sessions x 2 hours), you will get exclusive guidance from expert dressmaker Shilpa from designing the garment to the sewing process. Join this class whether you already have basic sewing know-how or even if you’ve never touched a sewing machine before! Sessions are for ladies only. Class size can vary between 1 to 3 students depending on your preferred schedule.

- Option 2: Gathered pants/straight pants
You can always rebook the class if you wish to learn the other options or create more varieties of the same project. Materials will be provided but you can bring a fabric of your choice as long as it’s cotton/cotton mix type.
What you will learn:
Option 1: Salwar/Kurti
- Take measurements
- Transfer measurements to fabric
- Cut the fabrics section-wise
- Sew the neckline with or without canvas
- Attach the sleeves
- Make the side slits
- Fitting adjustments and back tucks
- Create button plackets for front open kurtis
Option 2: Gathered pants/Straight pants
- Take measurements
- Transfer measurements to fabric
- Cutting the fabrics section-wise
- Waist construction
- Finishing and hemming
Materials:
- Sewing materials & basic fabric will be provided; you can optionally bring your own fabric (1.5 meters of cotton or cotton mix fabrics only)
