Art Nouveau is a European art movement from the 18th century based on the concept that all arts should be united, resulting in a unifying movement that encompasses many different art forms and fields. With the aim to modernize art and design, this class takes inspiration from organic and natural forms, exploring modern designs with sinuous, asymmetrical curves and lines to create a unique artistic interpretation of some of the classics of the time.

This class will help the student identify art nouveau styles and recreate them through drawing, tracing using a lightbox, painting with watercolors and using pattern, shimmer paints and gel markers to activate their personal style on the artwork. At the end of the class, the students will have a framed unique finished piece to take home.
