Session outline:

• Acrylic Painting - This class begins with the important basics and gradually increases to the technical skills of painting as the student continues on in their sessions. Not only that, these sessions will introduce students to the unique and 'forgiving’ qualities of acrylic paint.
  Students will learn and explore:
  • How to choose paints and painting surfaces
  • How to make the most of your paint and brushes as you work
  • Basic color theory and color mixing
  • Explore textures and techniques
• Watercolor Painting - The watercolor painting course outline can be adjusted according to the skillset of the student. This class is for artists wishing to explore and improve watercolor painting techniques. This course starts with the basics and progresses gradually to more complex subjects and concepts.
  Students will learn and explore:
  • A variety of concepts, subjects, application techniques and forms of watercolors provide the learner with complete exposure to this popular art-making medium.
  • How to handle watercolors by understanding the techniques of color mixing
  • How to make watercolor look more vibrant by layering on a sketch.

No prior painting experience is needed for these classes. Each session runs for 2 hours and students can choose either acrylic or watercolor painting if they choose the 1-session package. However, it is recommended students opt for the 2-session package as they can learn both painting techniques!

By the end of the sessions, students will have completed one painting on an A3 canvas per session.
