In this 1-hour, private class, you''ll be taught by a professional musician who will customize the lessons according to you desired goals. Beginners will learn the basics of playing this coveted instrument. Intermediate and advanced players will refine their existing skills and practice various melodies.
What you will learn:
- How to properly hold the instrument
- How to tune the oud and hold the oud pick (risha)
- Basic major and minor scales
- What a maqam is and the different types of maqam
- Practice your favorite melodies
Materials:
- The instructor will provide the oud for the class
- The instructor will guide the student to purchase their own oud for practice outside lessons
