For beginners, we'll start with the fundamentals, breaking down the Copperplate script in a way that makes it easy to understand and practice effectively. For those with prior experience, this class will help you fine-tune your technique, bringing a level of refinement and fluidity to your letterforms that will make your writing stand out.

In this class, you’ll learn:

• The core structure and form of Copperplate script
• How to evaluate your writing and identify areas for improvement
• All uppercase and lowercase letters, including alternate variations for added visual appeal
• Drills for building muscle memory and creating a fluid, confident script

Each session takes 90 mins

• In 5 sessions you can learn the basic pen strokes, drills, all the lowercase, spacing and joining letters
• In 10 sessions you can learn all drills, Uppercase letters, and the variations, and writing words
• In 15 sessions you can learn to conquer basic layouts and refine your script

By the end of the class, you'll have a well-rounded understanding of Copperplate, complete with the skills and confidence to create stunning, timeless lettering.

Materials/Supplies- The oblique holder, nib and ink can be arranged by the instructor for an additional fee of AED 200

• Holder- Oblique holder
• Nibs- Hunt 101, LPEF or any G nib (Nikko G, Zebra G or Tachikawa G nib)
• Ink- Walnut ink crystals, Tom Norton Walnut drawing ink or Higgins Eternal permanent black ink (either of the inks)
• Paper- Copy paper 100gms and above or
• Canson marker paper,
• Borden and Riley #37 Boris Layout paper or Rhodia

Additional supplies-

• Few coloured pens or fine point markers to make notes
• Ruler
• Mechanical Pencil
• Paper towel and small water container
