Calligraphy is not just a wonderful hobby but can also be useful for writing personalized invitations, gift cards and letters, or you can make very special canvases, frame them and decorate your home or gift your friends.
By the end of the course, you will be able to craft-write names and complete sentences like a lettering pro! You will start with the Arabic alphabets, practicing how to flawlessly write them with a ‘qalam’ which is a bamboo pen typically used for Arabic calligraphy. You will then progress to learning how to join the letters to form words and ultimately sentences.
An experienced and talented calligraphy artist will teach you the various technicalities of calligraphy with the qalam. You will mainly learn to write two kinds of Arabic calligraphy scripts – the popular Thuluth and Diwani styles. You can rebook this class as many times as required until you are happy with your proficiency level.
