In this private, 2-day course, you'll learn how to steer and operate a 12-meter yacht designed for day trips close to the land. With the help of qualified instructors, you'll be able to steer a yacht in no time!
Note that day 1 is for 6.5 hours whereas day 2 is for 5.5 hours.

- Day 1 - Theory (Online Session via Zoom link):
- Marine terminologies
- Safety at sea and safety equipment
- Types of boats and engines
- Boat launching and recovery
- Basic boat handling under power including PWCS
- International regulation for preventing collision at sea
- Aids to navigation at sea
- How to face the current and tides
- Meteorology
- Anchors and anchoring
- Man overboard procedure
- Rope work, knots, bends
- Day 2 - Practical (In-Person):
- Vessel preparation including safety checks
- Performing basic checks on engine
- Operating navigation system on board
- Boat handling under power and the use of engine throttles
- Turning the vessel in a confined area using a single engine
- Docking and undocking alongside
- Steering by compass and high-speed manoeuver
- Retrieving man overboard (MOB)
- Anchoring technique

Additional Info:
- An International Sailing Schools Association license (ISSA) certificate will be awarded after completion of the course
- This license cannot be used to sail locally. The center can assist you with applying for local license after completion of the course (fees vary depending on specific requirements)
