As technology advances at an ever increasing speed. Access to the online space, social media, and apps for our children is ‘normal.’ As digital natives, they understand how to adapt and use the technology very quickly. What they don’t understand are the repercussions and potential damage of their actions, whether that’s in terms of being cyberbullied, being a cyberbully, sharing inappropriate content/imagery, or damaging their online reputation.
If you would like to learn how to be a more effective parent to your children in the digital world they call home. This class can help increase your own awareness and education levels so that you can be the resource your children need you to be when things go wrong.
This program focuses on motivating parents, teachers, and practitioners to engage with children and young people on a level that allows you to guide them towards responsible internet use.

An informed parent is an effective parent in the digital world
Online and mobile misuse is on the increase and has become a real problem. From cyberbullying to cyber-crime, negative use by self and others can have devastating consequences for children and young people, confident with the technology but not yet emotionally equipped to deal with negative or harassing experiences in an online public environment.
