High levels of anxiety, panic attacks, and depression often seem to come out of the blue. It can be very frightening to those who are affected by them. It makes people feel powerless and out of control.
In this class, you will learn how to overcome those negative feelings and state of mind and soul. You can book the class once for either of the 2 options, or rebook the class one more time and be guided on both topics.
This 2-hour program (2 sessions x 1 hour) is designed to help participants come out of the problem situation and to return to normality within a short period. An experienced therapist will help you by combining several therapeutic methods like Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, CBT and others.
Option 1: Anxiety & Panic Management
Anxiety and panic attacks are an exaggeration of the body’s normal response to fear, stress or excitement. When faced with a situation perceived as potentially threatening, the body automatically gears itself up for facing the danger by “fight or flight.” Symptoms like rapid breathing &heartbeat, pains in the chest, head or back, feeling faint or dizzy, sweating, and feeling nauseous may be present even while the medical doctors certify that “there is nothing to worry” and the body is in a state of good health.
Option 2: Depression Awareness and Therapy
Almost everyone goes through low moods and dark thoughts. With depression though, the thoughts can be extremely negative. These negative thoughts can take over and distort one’s view of reality. Life therefore may appear dull. Depressive states may be caused by personal, inter-personal or situational factors. Understanding depression and what makes one depressed is the first step in depression therapy.
