Yoga at an early age offers incredible benefits to teenagers as they grow, including improved posture and spine health, flexibility, balance, strength, Concentration and coordination.
Your kids will learn from a certified yoga instructor in these 1-hour lessons, and can choose 5 or 10 sessions or a trial session to start their yoga journey today.
They can choose ONE of the following options:
- Yin Yoga for Stress Relief
- Meditation and Breathwork
- Restorative Yoga for Relaxation
Yin Yoga for Stress Relief
Yin yoga works deeply into the body with passive and longer-held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body, the connective tissues, including ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians.
The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, practitioners open up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely.
Meditation and Breathwork
Meditation and Breathwork is a potent combination that positively impacts the central nervous system and your child physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
Your child will learn different breathing techniques to relax, focus & bring health and vitality in your body mind complex. The Guided meditation that follows the breathwork will have a long lasting effect on the entire being, leave you feeling destressed improve your body-mind awareness and help to sleep better.
Meditation helps to activate the rest-and-digest system and begin the process of ushering your body back to a more natural and calm state. The body begins to heal and grows stronger and more resilient with powerful practice to manifest your goals, improve concentration and deal with emotional imbalances, and much more.
Restorative Yoga for Relaxation
Restorative yoga helps your child relax mentally and physically. These sessions will have fewer poses held for longer duration so that your muscles can relax.
Restorative yoga classes are a great way to unwind. A restorative yoga session provides emotional relaxation and can leave your child feeling refreshed and restored. It can lead to improved digestion, better sleep quality, and improved respiration and breathing and an improved immune system after a restorative class or two!
Materials:
- For Yin & Restoration Yoga: Students should have their own mat, pillows or bolster and block
- For Meditation: Students should have their own pillows, mat and blanket
