Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art that emphasizes striking techniques such as punches, kicks, and knee strikes, as well as open-hand techniques such as palm strikes and knife hand strikes. It's practiced both as a sport and as a means of self-defense. It is a physically demanding activity that requires strength, speed, and agility, as well as discipline and focus.
Karate practitioners typically wear a uniform called a gi, which consists of a white or black jacket and pants, and a colored belt that indicates their rank or level of proficiency.
In this 45-minute class, your kids will learn the techniques used in karate and build friendships along the way.
