Do your kids love reading the classics? Encourage them to create their own book!
In this private, online, 6 hours (4 sessions x 1.5 hours), they'll learn the fundamentals of writing and illustrating their own picture books for kids, from writing the text to drawing the characters and everything in between. They will learn from Simar, an experienced visual artist and freelance illustrator for children's books. She has also authored and illustrated her own books, many of which have won awards.
What they will learn:
- Introduction to children's literature
- Categories of books and types of illustrations
- How illustrations contribute to a story
- Model the importance of text and the relation between text and drawings in terms of design and composition

Materials:
- Students will need the following materials: Plain A4 paper, A4, color paper book, crayons/wax crayons, scissors & glue (approx. cost AED 35). The instructor can guide you on where to buy the materials
