Whenever two or more people interact, either as individuals or as part of a group, there is a potential for conflict. It is no different when you interact with young people in a work setting: the potential for conflict is present. It is important that you are aware of that potential so that you are able to identify a situation of conflict and intervene appropriately to control it.
This program has been designed to help people understand the nature of conflict and its effects on people both personally and in a group of people in a professional setting. You will study processes involved in behavior that occurs between different groups, called inter-group behavior, and its potential impact on group members.
