An integral part of any flamenco performance is the distinctive musical sounds of the cajón, a box drum. But it's also a popular instrument for most genres of contemporary music, including blues, pop, rock, funk, and jazz.
Whether you're looking to expand your musical range or you just want to learn how to play a unique instrument, this private, 10-hour class (10 sessions x 1 hour) is for you.
You will learn how to master the cajón from an experienced instructor. The Peruvian instrument is is typically played by slapping the rear or front faces of the box drum with your hands, fingers or sticks. Once you know how to play the cajón, playing the drums and other percussion instruments will also become a lot easier.
