In this 45-minute private class, you will learn the A to Z of music theory, which will allow you to grow as a musician. You will be taught by a professional musician who will tailor the lessons according to your ability and goals. The instructor can even help you prepare for international music exams. With this class, you will develop your understanding of rhythm, your hearing, and your finger fluency techniques to help you thrive in the wonderful world of music!
You can book for 3, 6, or 10 sessions depending on your goal and how much practice you need. Alternatively, you can book for 1 session to test the class before committing to more sessions.
You will learn:
- Music alphabet
- Half and whole steps
- Intervals and chords
- Major and minor
- Time signature and key signature
- Accidentals (signs)
- Tempo marks and dynamic marks
- Ledger lines
- Ascending and descending
- Metronome
- Ornament signs and harmonics
- Augmented triad and Diminished triads
- Diatonic chords, Dominant and Subdominant chords, and Substitutions
- The Seventh chords
- Circle of fifth
About the instructor:
Kateryna is a certified, professional musician with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and a Master’s degree from the Conservatory in Ukraine. She has performed with a symphony orchestra in Germany and Italy, as well as with a string quartet and a string trio on cruise ships both in Europe and in the USA. While working as a solo musician in the USA, she discovered that she likes sharing her musical skills with others and began teaching. She enjoys sharing her passion for music with her students and has previously helped them prepare for international exams and national competitions.
