Who is this course for?
This course is designed for adults who are looking to explore acting as a hobby or simply to gain confidence on stage. It is perfect for actors who think they have talent but haven't had enough opportunity to showcase it or explore it.

Course Outline:
Students are taught what the process of creating theatre is. Then they are guided towards training their mind, body and vocal abilities effectively,in a logical sequence, enabling them to create characters and performances. The students are helped to recognise their own abilities and limitations as an actor. The facilitator aims at providing practical opportunities via theatre exercises, improvisation exercises to explore stagecraft in a safe and motivating environment. Students will learn basic tools for all that is required for acting on stage.

Missed Sessions Policy:

If students miss sessions, they can make up for them within the month after program end date upon coordination with the instructor. Missed sessions will not count as credit

About the Instructor

Rashmi Kotriwala is the co-founder of the Junction and a well-known theatre personality in Dubai with several acting, directing, and producing experiences under her belt. She has also won several awards at Short+Sweet Theatre in Dubai and spearheads the Hindi theater repertoire called Udaan in Dubai. Rashmi is a columnist for Performing Arts in Young Times and is regularly invited to judge theater festivals and performances across the city's schools and other venues. She also is a script assessor for international theater festivals.
