Why should I take a candle-making lesson?

The materials required are pot, hot plate or electric stove, wax, wick, container, optional fragrance, color, skewers, or popsicle sticks.
Then for subsequent candles, you can be more adventurous and add fragrances and colors of your choice. Maybe you don’t like fragrances and that’s fine, you don’t have to add them. This is great for people allergic to specific scents.
The instructions include:
- Before pouring the wax, place the wick at the equipment you will pour your wax in. You can use a small empty container to do so
- Set up the pot over a heat source and heat up your wax. Add the color and fragrance to the melted wax if required. This is candle bases, oo la! Soy is normally used but try beeswax candle.
- Slowly and carefully pour the hot wax into the container. Use the popsicle sticks to hold the wick in place. Let the wax cool to a solid and cut off the wax to the appropriate length (hand poured)
- There you have it! You can add a sticker outside the container for your enjoyment
