As a sterile processing technician, you’ll work behind the scenes in the medical community. SPD Techs are some of the most important team members in a hospital’s arsenal–responsible for eliminating infections, maintaining supplies, and manually cleaning tools to be used in critical surgeries.
Suitable for experienced and/or aspiring medical professionals, this 75-hour (25 sessions x 3 hours) group TESDA Registered Certificate Program trains students to become a Sterilization Supply Technician (SST) under the Nursing Service Department.
Sterilization Supply Technicians (SST) play a critical role in keeping patients healthy by ensuring all medical instruments and equipment are sterile. Their work helps patients avoid infections while receiving treatment. They also maintain the functionality and inventory of health care and surgical equipment.
