Thinking of taking up calligraphy as a profession or a hobby? Start your journey with this class!
You will be taught by Purvi Pamnani, who is a professional artist and an expert across different art forms. In this private 15-hour (10 sessions x 1.5 hours) class, Purvi will introduce you to the fundamentals of calligraphy using English words.
One of the greatest things about calligraphy writing is that, with sufficient guidance from the beginning, it can be done by anyone. With every session of this class, you will learn how to masterfully move your pen to make your handwriting beautiful and create different artistic fonts. You will discover all the secrets behind keeping your writing consistent and flawless, whilst experimenting with various styles.
You will explore the following:
- Calligraphy and its application
- Basic strokes
- How to form letters, words, and phrases
- The use of a brush in calligraphy
At the end of this class, you will take home all the materials you've worked on.
Materials:
Students must bring their own materials. These materials can be easily found in any art supply store and you can also ask the instructor for recommendations. The following materials are required:
- Calligraphy pen
- Big 4 lines notebook
- Black paint
- Flat brush
Optionally, the materials can be provided by the instructor for use during the class for an additional fee of AED 125.
