This private 4-hour masterclass is a great introduction class for those who would like to try silk painting, particularly floral pieces like Hibiscus or Peony.Your child will leave with a finished piece or approximately 30×30 cm that they can frame to their liking and show off to friends and family!
What your child will learn:
- How to stretch silk onto frame
- What silk dyes are and the variety of brands
- What is resist and how to apply it on silk
- How to mix colors and produce different shades
- What differs painting on silk from water colors
- How to fix colors on silk permanently
They can choose 1 session to create 1 artwork or 3 sessions to create more pieces.
About the Instructor:
Anna is an artist based in the UAE since 2001, incorporating local cultural influences into some of her works. Being an avid traveler eager to learn about global world cultures of the world and in search of her own approach, Anna has experimented with a range of styles from Chinese painting to modern batik techniques, oriental landscapes and Middle Eastern cityscapes, flowers and animals, abstract painting and photo realism. Anna has exhibited her works locally and internationally since 2010, with many of her artworks belonging to private collections in Russia, France, Germany, the United States and UAE.
Materials:
- Students should bring an apron or wear clothes that are alright to get messy with paint
- All materials are provided, including: Frames, Silk, Brushes, Glass Tubes, Silk Dyes, Reference Picture

All sessions are valid for 30 days upon booking

- This class is available at the student's home for an additional charge of AED 150 per session to be paid directly to the instructor (exact fee may be higher or lower depending on address)
