Embroidery is a unique and beautiful craft that can be applied to almost of clothing and home decoration. It is like "painting" with a thread and yarn that will totally accentuate any plain-looking home items such as quilts, place-mats, purses, table runners, cushion covers, wall hangings, and a whole lot more! Classes are suitable for beginners.
In this 7.5-hour private class, you will learn the following stitches:
- Chain
- Satin
- Bullion
- French knot
- Back
- Running
- Herringbone
- Buttonhole
- Bead work
- Sequin work
- Kashmiri work
Learn from Shivani, an experienced sewing instructor, who will teach you not only the embroidery techniques but also how to put your creative ideas into reality. At the end of the class, you will knowledgeable on how to apply the stitches and work well with any embroidery project. Classes are available for ladies only.
Materials:
- Students need to have a sewing machine & sewing kit (thimble, scissors, 60" tape, untwist tool, stitch needle, winding plate, embroidery pen, 50 colored threads, water-soluble pen, 2 punch needle pens, 9 embroidery needles, 7-inch embroidery hoop, 12-inch frame, 1-meter embroidered cloth, tracing paper, 2 cross stitch needle-threading tools)
- Students can alternatively purchase a sewing kit from the instructor for an additional fee of AED 150 (without fabric) or AED 250 (with fabric)
