Quickly and easily create a physical object from a computer model by literally printing the part as it goes! This is an easy way to prototype your parts before machining or injection molding.
In this Safety and Basic Use (SBU) class, you will learn how to import, prepare and print your three-dimensional parts using the Ultimaker 2+ 3D Printer. You will learn about the hardware of 3D printers, the software and parameters and troubleshooting for common personal printers. By the end of class, you will have all the information necessary to use this machine and be able to print a small 3D project.
How a 3D printer works:
The machine controlled by the computer (CNC) has X-Y-Z axis that moves according to your 3D object. It will slice your 3D object into layers and fuse plastic when drawing each layer on top of the other till it reaches the top!
