These classes are 1-on-1 private sessions where you can learn in the comfort of your own home. You can choose to learn from one of the options below for 4 or 8 sessions (2 hours each). If you want to learn more than one art style, then you can rebook this class as many times as you want till you reach your goals.
Course Outline:
- Arabic and English calligraphy
- How to craft a qalam and brushes
- Basic styles of Arabic calligraphy
- Essential techniques and practice exercises
- How to hold a qalam and brushes,
- Appropriate sitting posture and use of a drawing board
Materials:
Students should have the following materials. Materials can be purchased from the instructor for an additional charge.
- Calligraphy inks
- Galam
- Brushes
- Drawing Board (for calligraphy)
