If you're looking for a yoga style to help you to reduce pain and stress then Yin Yoga is your answer! Named after the calm half of Yin and Yang, Yin yoga gives attention to your breathing and energy centers with very little effort. Most poses in Yin Yoga are done seated or lying down and held for 45 seconds to 2 minutes. It targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much. Yin yoga is known for improving flexibility and restoring a fuller range of motion.
