Get trained with an Indian Martial Art Expert and discover why Kalarippayattu is known as the mother of all martial arts. The combat sport is more of a lifestyle than a martial art.
This Indian martial art hailed from Kerala and was practiced by the warriors of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The art form goes so far back it's even mentioned in the Vedas, which are a collection of over 3000-year-old ancient hymns and religious texts from India.
"Kalari” means the practicing area and “Payattu” means to fight or the art of combat. Kalarippayattu is the combat art of hardcore training. Kalari training aims at the ultimate coordination of the mind and body. It brings together the discipline of a fitness routine with the grace of dance, the flexibility of yoga, and the body-confidence of a warrior. The practice of Kalaripayattu involves intensive training in combat as well as healing techniques, using the energizing potential of human touch. Each session is of 1-hour duration.
