This fun weekly calligraphy summer workshop will introduce kids and teens to the art of brush lettering!

Your children will learn the basics of modern calligraphy using a brush pen, which is like a marker that has a very tapered, brush-like end. Kids will go over exercises to get familiar with brush control and pressure which will help them develop not only their artistic skills but also improve their handwriting skills.

5-Session Camp Outline:

• Intro to Basics
  
  • What is brush lettering & calligraphy, and what are its applications?
  • The materials needed and how to use them
  • Basic practice strokes
  • How to form letters, words, and phrases
• Blending
  • Combine colors using regular brush pens directly, or using a special blender pen & blending palette

  • Which colors blend well, practice different styles, and give an awesome 3-D Effect and added flair on your regular calligraphy

  • Add dimension & style to your lettering

• Bouncy Font, Banners & Wreaths
• Flourishing
  • Style your letters with fancy loops and swirls and add flair to regular cursive writing
